A football coach practises with you the technique there is not always time for in club training: receiving the ball, passing, shooting at goal and one-on-one situations. Individual training suits a young player who wants to catch up to the level and an adult who is returning to the game.
A football coach can also focus on a specific position. Goalkeeper training is a field of its own: positioning, catching, throwing and playing with the feet. Defenders and attackers are taught quite different movements. The coach chooses exercises by your position and aims at reading game situations.
Football coaches offer individual sessions, small groups and club groups. Ask whether the coach works with young players and in which age group, and how they give feedback to the player and the parent. When looking for a coach for a child, also check whether the sessions take place close to home.
