BodyBalance (1)

BodyBalance, also written body balance, is a group class developed by Les Mills that combines yoga, tai chi and Pilates elements to calm music. During the class you move smoothly from posture to posture, focus on breathing and usually finish with relaxation.

A BodyBalance instructor leads the group and shows easier and harder versions of the exercises. A beginner does not need earlier yoga experience; comfortable clothing and a readiness to move at your own pace are enough. The pace of the class is calm, so there is time for breathing and for getting the posture right.

When looking for a body balance instructor, find out whether the class takes place in a club, a studio or online, how long it lasts and whether you need to bring your own mat. The content depends on the instructor, so a trial class gives a clearer picture than a description.
